Wilberlee family day
This session was organised on a pay to attend basis as a fund raiser for the field of dreams at Wilberlee school.
Numbers were not as high as we would have liked, maybe on account of the atrocious weather or the fact that it was a bank holiday (the only gap in our calendar alas).
Non the less we arranged the activities around a Jubilee theme. I told the story that never ends, much to my own amusement and the enjoyment of the children (some adults found the stories repetitive nature a little taxing I think!) After the story we made Hapa zome bunting triangles and stapled it to tape , as a present for the school. Children then made boats from wood cookies and we recreated the River Thames out of a tarp and sailed the boats in a royal flotilla.
Learning from the last Babes in the Wood session, I put up two hammocks this time and they provided just as much entertainment as before, though the slightly older children did have a tendency to spin each other until they were upside down!
