Paddock 2

Following from a very large attendance at the last Paddock session we prepared for a big group with the Ghost of the White Deer story, Native American games and yet more blueberry pancakes.

As it turned out, attendance was low with only two families attending, a total of five children. While it is nice to work with smaller groups, especially after the pressure of larger groups, if the group is too small and unfamiliar with the setting etc. the energy levels can be hard to maintain. Timings are thrown out as everything seems to go much quicker.

That said, the group enjoyed making their own charcoal and playing the native American games. They drew pictures with the charcoal and any natural materials they could forage.

Rather amusingly following on from the pancake fest of the previous day, most of the children did not seem to enjoy the blueberry pancakes, as one mother said ” we don’t really eat bland food”.
